Liquid Rock

The Kīlauea volcano's 61g lava flow in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the island of Hawaiʻi, Hawaii, is still a very young lava flow on the geological time scale. That lava hardened only a few years ago and is, in some locations, still warm under the shoes.
